International Gathering 2025

This years International Gathering was held in conjunction with the Chicago Highland Games from the 13th to the 14th of June 2025, where Clan MacEwen was the Honored Clan.

 

From the first clink of glasses on Thursday evening to the final toast at Saturday’s formal dinner, the Clan MacEwen gathering was a joyful celebration of kinship, culture, and community.
The festivities began on the evening of the 12th with a lively cocktail social. Old friends reunited, new faces were warmly welcomed, and the room buzzed with laughter, stories, and the unmistakable sound of MacEwen cheer. Many a drink was raised, and many a tale was told, indeed, some taller than others, of course.
Clans from near and far gathered to celebrate their heritage with pride over the next couple of days. The field was alive with color, music, and the spirit of friendly competition. The games were a true showcase of strength, tradition, and camaraderie. The Scottish Society as a whole came together in a remarkable display of goodwill and shared pride, and Clan MacEwen stood tall among them.
The weekend culminated in a formal dinner that was as elegant as it was heartfelt. Guests gathered in their finest attire to honor a historic moment: the presence of our newly installed Chief of Clan MacEwen, Sir John McEwen. With warmth and grace, he spoke of the journey that brought us here and the bright future ahead. It was a night of toasts, tradition, and deep connection and truly, a fitting close to a weekend that reminded us all why we gather, why we celebrate, and why we rise again.
