Clan Challenge Coin

The Challenge Coin

The history of challenge coins dates to the Roman Empire, where a single gold coin might be given to a Legionnaire in recognition and reward of an extraordinary act of bravery or exemplary dedication to their mission. Today such coins are highly prized and popular with many elite military units, historical, charitable, and fraternal organizations, etc.

High Commissioner Robert Owens (USA) is proud to announce the release of a special limited edition Clan MacEwen Challenge Coin commemorating recognition by Scotland’s Lyon Court of the Clan's first Chief of the Name and Arms of MacEwen in nearly 600 years.

This attractive one and one half-inch diameter coin, cast in a solid antiqued-gold finish, features the Clan crest, with motto and war cry in Latin, on one side and the Cairn, with English translation, on the reverse.

At this time, purchase of this special edition coin is limited to one per paid Clan MacEwen Society membership. Cost of the coin is $30 dollars including shipping costs or $20 if picked up in-person. (Cost of international orders are subject to actual costs of shipping and any taxes or tariffs applicable at time of purchase.)

Funds raised will be used to expand and support Clan MacEwen's efforts throughout the United States.

Quantity of available coins is limited. To place your order contact High Commissioner Robert Owens or Society membership secretary Carol Owens by email at owens@rebelscreek.com or by telephone at 1-828-777-7163.
