Cairn and Motte Maintenance

The Cairn

OVERVIEW
In 1990, The (then) Clan Ewen Society had a cairn erected among the ruins of Caisteal Mhic Eoghain near Kilfinan on the shores of Loch Fyne.   This area is a pilgrimage site for many of our kinsmen and women and as such the Cairn and Site needs to be maintained on a regular basis.

GOALS
1. Upgrade the access to the Cairn
2. Maintain the Overall construction of the Cairn
3. Preserve the Site for future generations

OVERVIEW
Located on Balimore Estate, The MacEwen Motte once housed a Motte and Bailie structure,  Later under the ownership of the Campbells, a structure was built on top to house the epitaphs of the owners,   This site is still part of the MacEwen history and should be maintained

GOALS
1. Upgrade the access to the Motte
2. Maintain the Overall construction buildings on the Motte
3. Preserve the Site for future generations
